Scholarships for Teacher Training Though we try to keep the registration fees for our Teacher Training programs at a minimum to ensure that educators from all types of schools can participate, there are still educators who are unable to participate because of the registration fee. Contact us to learn how you can provide a scholarship for educators who teach at schools serving children from low socio-economic status backgrounds. Indeed, children who live in poverty are the ones who need high quality teachers the most. To learn more about the teacher training programs we offer, visit the Teacher Training page.
Parent Education Parents need opportunities to learn more about how their young children learn and grow, and what they can do to nurture that growth. Contact us to arrange a program at your school, church or mosque, community group, or cultural group that will empower parents to provide the richest environment for their children to grow healthy, happy, successful, and with strong character.
Sponsor a Reading Club Educators-in-training (ECE students at the University of Jos) visit schools that serve low socio-economic status children weekly to engage in read alouds. Reading Aloud is a powerful way of building language and reading skills, knowledge of the world, as well as social and character development. For just a minimum amount for transportation, you can sponsor a Reading Club for children in a school that serves children living in poverty. To learn more, visit the Reading Club page.
